As I sat through Inservice today, I couldn't help but think about how crazy it is that it's my 2nd year to teach! Last year was chaotic, fun, stressful,a learning experience, tiring, crazy...but most of all, it was a blessing! Seriously, my first year taught me so much! It taught me how to love my students, relate to my students, teach my students, and it taught me a lot of things that work and don't work! I learned how hard classroom management and discipline is, especially because I'm so close in age with my students! But, overall I learned how much I truly love what I do! Everyday I felt so blessed to get to go to work, see my kiddos, and teach them something new! I learned that teaching isn't just about the curriculum, the TAKS test, and report cards. It's about the relationship you form with the students that hopefully they will remember the rest of their lives. It's about the fact that you might truly be the only person who talks to that particular kid that day or tells them they did a good job! It's about being a constant in my student's lives! I love love love teaching and I'm so blessed to have a wonderful job at Wylie High School! There have definitely been ups and downs, but I constantly pray my passion for teaching stays in tact and I can forever be a positive influence for my students!! :)
A truly blessed teacher,
Hope (Future Mrs. Saenz)
