I must say I feel super blessed to have such great soon to be in-laws. I always hear people complaining about their mother-in-law, or in-laws, especially around the holidays, but I honestly have no complaints. Ted and Lisa have been nothing but welcoming from day one. I've never felt shy or awkward around their family and feel as if I can be 100% of myself.
Ted is a coach and teacher, which makes us have a lot in common. We both understand how demading each other's jobs are. He is a very proud dad and expects a lot out of all his boys. He raised Josh to be a great young man, with responsibility and pushed Josh to succeed in everything he does.
Lisa and I have gotten really close throughout the years and she's super easy to talk to. In April 2010, Lisa was diagnosed with breast cancer and went through chemo and radiation, after having a double mastectomy. She worked two jobs and took care of three boys, while never missing out on any of her children's activities. She is so strong and is a cancer survivor.
I'm also gaining three new brothers, which is totally new for me because I didn't grow up around boys. I must say, they are a handful, but super fun to be around. They tease me and wrestle around, which I love. Matt is the oldest of Josh's brothers. He has a huge heart and is a big ol' teddy bear. Bryan and I are unstoppable at Pictionary. We are always partners when we play games, and we are usually always the winners as well. Jacob is the youngest and such a mess. He is a chunky butt and loves to make Josh proud. He is going to be quite the athlete one day.
I'm so excited to be gaining a new family in which I love so much already.
Blessed with great in-laws,
Hope (Future Mrs. Saenz)
