Hello Everyone!!!
This is my first official blog and I am super excited!! There are so many things I want to say, but I will do my best not to ramble (for those of you who know me well...this might be a challenge)! :)
First things first...WE'RE ENGAGED!!! It's been two weeks and I'm just as excited as the night he got down on one knee and popped the question...I can only hope my giddyness stays in tact while wedding planning! So far, we have not set a date. We are waiting until we find a venue, which has been the most challenging thing thus far, but I know something wonderful is coming. The month we are looking at is October of this year! Woo hoo!
For this first blog, I will share our "Engagement Story" with those of you who haven't heard.
On May 17th, 2011 (my 25th birthday), Josh and I met up with my parents, my sister, brother in law, and nephew for dinner at Mi Cocina. It was a great night and everyone was so calm, cool, and collecting, I had absolutely no idea anything was coming! After dinner, Josh said we needed to run up to the mall to grab something, so we hopped in the car and headed that way. Once we got to Collin Creek Mall, we walked in and I guessed he was going to get me a cookie cake for my birthday (these are one of Josh's other true loves). He agreed with me, but suggested first that we take photos in one of those picture booths. I was shocked! He always shrugged me off when I asked to do this, claiming he doesn't have cash, or we already have enough pictures together...hehe! So, in the booth we go! He begins to plan how he wants each picture to look, there were a total of four. First, we would smile. Second, we would make goofy faces. Third, we would kiss. Lastly, we would make our best serious face. We went through each of our steps being goofy, and having fun. On the step 4, he get's down on one knee and proposes!!!! :) The camera caught our faces but not the ring, but I love staring at the pictures each day, and being reminded of that night! I was so shocked and excited! Once I said "Yes" over 50 times, we hopped back in the booth and took some "newly engaged pictures"! This was one of our best nights ever that I will never forget! :)
We are so excited to share this wonderful time of our lives with all of our friends and family!!
Until next time,
Hope (Future Mrs. Saenz)
YAY! So exciting!
