Daddy's Little Girl

In honor of Father's Day, I figured I would write a post about the most wonderful man I know! :)

I've never been able to say whether I was a daddy's girl or a mama's girl. I love them both in such very different ways and have two totally different relationships with them both! I think I'm a daddy's girl and a mama's girl! But, today...I'll talk about the reasons I'm a daddy's girl!

My dad, Chris Strickland, is literally the most hard working person I know! He is a farmer and business owner! Everyday he works outside in the Texas heat, rain or shine, to provide for his family. It's not only his hard work that makes him wonderful...it's the fact that he can work his tail off each and every day, year round, and still make time for his family and his wife. He was always at everything I did. He came to my games to watch me cheer, even throughout college, he walked me onto the field when I was a homecoming nominee, and pretty soon, he will walk me down the aisle to my future husband! Throughout this wedding process, he has been so emotional to think of his little girl moving on, or needing someone more than she needs her daddy. I hope he sees I'm not going anywhere...I'm simply growing up and marrying someone I know without a shadow of a doubt will spoil his little girl as much as he did and will do everything in his power to provide me things just like he did!!

My dad has set such a wonderful example of what it means to be a christian, a husband and the best daddy a girl could ever ask for! :)
